Latest Updates from Our Project:

Every US Backer of Omnia is OUT
25 days ago – Wed, Feb 04, 2026 at 03:11:33 PM

If you ordered a solo copy of OMNIA and you live in the US, your orders are cleared (I think there are 2 extras that came in after and we'll send those tomorrow, but close enough), ditto Omnia + The Roman Stars orders and some bits and bobs of other stuff. Tomorrow we clear out the Canadiomnias and start getting Forma out on the road.

Some of you noticed you got tracking numbers that hadn't moved, that was an issue with the weather and the local post office which hopefully has been resolved. In any case they came today and took everything we had, old and new.

If you ordered a solo Forma and have anything you need to change in your pledge, now is the time!

EUROPEANS: your books should also (I think?) start going out this week. The fulfillment house has everything they need as far as I know. Fingers crossed.

Here's the before and after of the pickup (there were even more books behind me)

Four hours left.

The briefest update: our campaign is 4 hours from its end. If you're already a part of it, we thank you, we will likely thank you again.

If you're not, we thank you anyway, you've done a lot for us. We're proud of the book, we're not printing it again, so just one final heads up.

Iván Brandon and 500+ fully painted pages of Marvel Superstar Nic Klein.

Last chance to get our ridiculous 9 pound hardcover (48 Hours Left)
10 months ago – Tue, May 13, 2025 at 08:15:02 AM

I want to say that DRIFTER is one of those moments where a band just all reach their peak together but really it was me bringing my Viking co-creator Nic Klein a small idea and him handing something back that was so big it dragged Tom Muller and I into its orbit. (if you've seen Tom's award-winning redesign of the X-Men marks, this project lead to me being asked by Jonathan Hickman to put them in touch)

I doubt I’ll ever be part of something this ambitious again. We all have that aspiration in the morning but it’s not til you’re floating briefly in that space you realize you don’t really know how you got there or how to find your way back.

I’ve never seen anyone do what Nic did in this book. I don’t know what it cost him, or if it was worth it in the end, but I’ll spend my life hoping one day he’ll take me back.

Drifter:Omnia is like our monument to that time.

There are 48 hours left to back it, we've spent the last month adding upgrades: sewn binding, spot gloss, fluorescent ink — and this is now far and away the wildest, most ambitious volume any of us have ever produced.

I found an old interview with Nic from the original run where you can see his process.

This is the kind of book we want to be making. And if it’s the kind of book you want to read — that’d work out pretty well for both of us.

One week left to join us in the wreckage

Hiya -
Attention: folks who helped us finish The Roman Stars. You didn’t just back a book - you helped close out Caesar's story. We’re still recovering.

A couple weeks ago, I sent out a note about our next book - Drifter: Omnia- and promised something small in return for anyone who’s backed TRS and Drifter.

It’s called The Unsent Letter.
It's a one-page artifact recovered from the wreckage of the ship at the center of Drifter’s story. It’s not in the book, it's not in any tier, it's not for sale anywhere. We're literally making it for you.

Our goal here is to keep making books, and to keep you with us, so we're trying to do special things where we can to show our appreciation. On every new campaign we'll do something like this. A little thing that's only for the home team.

If you backed The Roman Stars AND you back this new Drifter: Omnia campaign, we’re slipping one into your package automatically. It won't change the price or your shipping cost.

A lot of you have already backed Drifter. If you haven’t yet, this is your reminder:
We're in our last 7 days. Then it’s over.

Drifter: Omnia is 500+ pages of sci-fi, memory, and loss. It’s the most obsessive, oversized thing we’ve ever made. Same writer, same energy. Bigger everything.

If you’ve been meaning to check it out, now’s the time:

And if you’re getting this email twice on both campaigns? It's cause we love you more than the people who are only getting one email. Them we just love a little. Or we’re bad at email segmentation. Either way — thank you.

PS: this is an interior page from Drifter. Painted so hard by Nic Klein it almost killed him.

Regretfully sincere email below
10 months ago – Tue, Apr 22, 2025 at 08:32:12 AM

I’m standing on a line in midtown for Japanese donuts as I write this so please know I am pre-humbled here.

This email is going out to backers of The Roman Stars, our first publication. Last week we launched our second: DRIFTER OMNIA, by far the biggest book I’ve ever had anything to do with.

Nic Klein, Tom Muller and I did the original series at Image. We were ridiculous, there wasn’t a pixel of those book files we didn’t mess with. (We literally designed the UPC symbols)

This is our attempt at building a giant permanent fortress for that work, preferably in your home.

That’s not entirely why I’m writing to you from this ridiculous place.

We want to make weird unique stuff. It’s legitimately the only thing we want to do. We want coming along with us to be rewarding, in whatever sense of the word you want to use.

So we made something. Literally just for the people reading this email. It’s a letter, found in the wreckage of the ship at the center of this story. The letter does not appear in the book, or in the campaign, it won’t be sold anywhere (unless you sell yours, I guess?)

If you pledged already, we’ve already added one to your profile. If you haven’t? This is your incentive, yes. But it is also a sincere thank you. A small one, but still.

We hope you check out this book. It’s one of the rare books we’re all positive we’re still proud of all these years later.

This email was longer than I intended, sorry. But I wanted to write it myself and I’m on a donut line, which is also longer than I intended.

Anyway, thanks. Check out the new book here. http://kck.st/4isqKog

(Nic and Tom are also grateful but aren’t dumb enough to be on this line with me)
